Hello summer!

June was a month of slow living and hobbies, rekindling my romance with the beach, and enjoying a season of preparation, peace, and creativity.

Our trip to Turks & Caicos had me reflecting on so many things, but one big thing was how beautiful the world we get to live in truly is. Do you ever just stop and think about that? With the hustle and bustle, set routines that keep our heads down, or different priorities in each season of life, sometimes I definitely can forget to look up, get away, or stop to acknowledge the gift of living in a world with such a beautiful and intentional design.

Spending mornings on the sea side patio with the breeze blowing, sound of the waves, and a wash of peace from the stillness was a special time of prayer, reflection, and scripture reading for me. Looking out over the powder white sands and vast, clear blue water had me so grateful for God’s creation. Like, life is really beautiful and the Creator of the universe did not spare any expense when He made the beauty that we get to experience.

Other things I learned/worked on this month:

Find the magic in every little thing!!
I am so thankful for what we have been able to accomplish with our goals and priorities, but I am ready for a season of prioritizing travel more.
Remembering I need God. Every day. Every moment.
I come ALIVE at the beach.
It is a time of preparation for our future kiddos - financial, spiritual, physical, mental, and relational.
Gratitude. Gratitude. Gratitude.

Some key players: the perfect haircut, raffia cowboy hat, Target swim (!!), red linen pants, the best slouchy sweat shorts, monogrammed beach tote, and most comfortable trendy summer sandals

I vibed with island fashion, linen, and cool-girl easy fits. I had so much fun putting together looks that were festive but still comfortable and easy to match the island feel. I went very effortless, cool girl for the beach looks with classic bikinis, slouchy linen pants, and my raffia cowboy hat. For dinners, I opted for linen, breezy t-shirts styled in cool ways, and loved fun skirt moments with my lace see through maxi and sequin mini.

Some of my favorite accessories included: my monogramed beach tote, Amazon beaded bag, raffia cowboy hat, comfortable and trendy flip flops (will be wearing all summer long!), bandana, silk scarf, pinky ring, and my rented small grey Goyard bag

I got the perfect haircut right before I went to Turks. We did round layers and face frame/curtain bangs with a razor, and man, did this style perfectly for post beach day dinners. The layers dried into salty waves for the most effortless beachy look. I sprayed in my favorite hairspray and this wave spray and that was it! This cut is also perfect for a large round brush blowout.

Natural makeup continued to rule this month especially for the post beach day looks. My post beach/all summer makeup favorites: Rhode Peptide Lip Shape in color ‘Press’, Merit Flush Balm Cream Blush in the color Postmodern she just stays on Editor Picks at this point because I'm obsessed), Merit The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick, Rhode Glazing Mist, Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm, and Saie Airset Radiant Loose Setting Powder.

Another beauty obsession this month was the Kopari Beauty Golden Sunglaze Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen SPF 50 - the actual best sunscreen you will ever use. The smell is amazing, it has a beautiful natural glow shimmer, and it is not sticky at all. Trust me on this one!

Not a lot of changes going on around here. I loved it. I am so grateful for our space and the rest that it brings.

Travel brought some inspiration though. I loved a gorgeous art piece in the lobby of our resort in Turks, and it got my thinking about bringing in a little more color (especially through fun art) to our home.
