A little week recap - work, shooting content again, writing, planning, and lots of gratitude.
Monday 1.12 | my favorite picture of the week
I caught this cozy little candle moment (ft my new favortie candle) while I was working and it makes me really happy. A candle lit in a cozy place is such an unmatched feeling for me. My office slowly becomes more and more like me every week, and inspires me so much.

Monday 1.12 | shooting again
I'm finding creativity in shooting again. I love taking product shots & it is something I want to get better at this year. Looking forward to having more time this year to shoot daily moments and things that I love.

Tuesday 1.13 | daily sunshine
Spent so much time outside this week - the weather has been beautiful! I sit outside on our patio, work, and let the dogs play and enjoy too. I spent a lot of time reflecting on life and my blessing this week. There truly is something about sitting outside with your eyes closed, the sun shining on you, a quiet breeze in the air, and just thanking God for showing up for you without fail.

Wednesday 1.14 | tea + writing
Hitting my protein goals with some collagen in my daily tea (I am a tea gal for sure!) and spending a lot of time writing and working through my 2026 intentional planning (read about that here).

Thursday 1.15 | in town days + reorienting myself with a camera lol
Last year, I fell off of my "in town days" - it was a goal I set for myself to go into town once a week to make sure I am getting social interaction, experiencing life outside of my house, and having a reason to get dressed at least once a week. It is really easy as someone who works from home and is an introvert to not surface into the outside world regularly.
But I am back at it this year! Putting on a cute outfit (loved this week except for everything was too big lol), going to work at a coffee shop, visiting my husband at work for lunch, running errands, and whatever else it may be. Just getting out of the house and being a better steward of life's opportunities. Also, trying to get used to the camera again - sometimes its just a miss lol.

Friday 1.16 | fresh start for the year ahead
Started a new Bible study. I am really looking forward to what this 2 week study has in store! Coming off of a hard year, I went into 2026 with excitement but also a little anxious about what the year could hold. Praying through that and trusting God through that. I look forward to leaning in these next 2 weeks on how to start the year off with Jesus.
Lamentations 3:22-24 - "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in Him."

Friday 1.16 | date night with my love
Went on a little date night with H. The fit was fitting (so cozy and comfy for a chilly casual date night), the pasta and wine was life giving, and the company was special. We are going to make date nights like this a priority in 2026. We also went magazine shopping (one of my favorite things to do - like to get a collection for reading throughout the month) and shopped around a bit (found a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses I will dream about for a long time lol).

Saturday 1.17 | chilly writing day in
Chilly day in Texas so cozied up in my office with my girl. Spent time with Jesus, scheduled some pins, worked on my 2026 brand plans, started writing this post, ordered groceries, and did some 2026 goals journaling. This post was inspired by my journal - I didn't journal a lot this week so I decided to recap with pictures.

Sunday 1.18 | church from home + trees down
We watched church from home and then spent time resetting the house for the week. In part of this house reset, we took down our Christmas trees (that I had made new years trees with silver tinsel - will be doing every year for sureee!), and it feels really nice to have a fresh and reset house. I loved the slow transition out of Christmas with my New Years trees.
As I finish writing this post, my evening plans will include planning my week to start off on the right foot, watching Friends (my husband and I are rewatching from the beginning in 2026; Sundays are our Friends nights as we head into the new week), and reading some of my new magazines.

Happy new week to you! Take time to enjoy all the moments.
xx,
AJ
