We ramped it up this month!
This month was for consistency, trying new things, appreciating the little joys, and reveling in the important moments. With that came a feeling of hitting my stride a little bit. I shot more images then I have any other month, intentionally reentered the Instagram space and just got to posting what I like, honed in on some branding decisions, made some exciting personal moves, and hit some special milestones.

the month in faith
With the excitement of hitting my stride, reentering the Instagram space, and the flame of ambition, I found myself shifting away from my lifeline. Quickly forgetting that my brand is to point others to Jesus through stewarding the life He has given me instead of myself. This typically happens (it's pretty sneaky too) when I get caught up in the hustle and bustle, thinking I can do things on my own, and prioritizing those things I have been blessed with over the One who gave them to me.
God was continually reminding me to seek Him and rely on Him as my source, and that ambition, if not Godly ambition, can lead me to burn out and lack of purpose rather than stewardship and abundance of joy. Thank goodness for the overflowing of grace and the ability to refocus back on what matters. March is a new month to seek the kingdom and His goodness in all things.
the month in it's finest
February's finest: starting to feel a little bit like spring, a month of love with valentine's day and our five year wedding anniversary, the fresh feeling after hair day, new inspiration and revisiting past favorites that inspire, getting more consistent with building my brand and voice, snippets of time with my little pocket Bible, a glass of red wine, and good cappuccinos. What a month.
BUT probably one of the pivotal, finest moments of my month was actioning on a dream of mine - horseback riding. For the majority of my life, I lived in fear, anxiety, and crippled by what others thought of me. This kept me from doing a lot of things, putting myself out there with confidence, and just living for God as He made me. A tangible example of this is riding. BUT GOD!
Last year, through a very difficult time of grief, God helped me to see how I was playing small, not stewarding the life He had given me, and had no foundation of who I was or wanted to be. I did a 180 degree turn, and I am walking new. Not perfect, but new. Starting the process towards riding this past month felt like a full-circle, stamp of self-approval, and overwhelming gratitude of where God has brought me.
I see God in horses. The strength, fearlessness, and gentleness He gave them is magnificent to me. Traits I hope and know God will continue to bring out in me.
Another really special thing about this pivotal moment is the person that I have in my corner. My husband has always encouraged, supported, and helped me start and fulfill dreams that I could never imagine possible. And this is another really wonderful example of that. His Valentines day gift to me was researching a ranch, lessons, and leasing a horse so that I had no barriers keeping me from finally diving into this dream. Yes, we can pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, but it is a special and unique joy in life to have someone help pick you up and put your boots on for you.

the month in fashion + beauty
Some key players: blazers, white tee, Tecovas, 'natural' funky nails, leather jacket, & spring, fresh beauty
I am a broken record when it comes to my black blazer, favorite white tees, and a good pair of slouchy jeans. The versatility in these pieces for my style is just unmatched. Building on basics (blog post on that here) always leaves me feeling effortlessly put together and comfortably in my style pocket. BUT they lend themselves to funky elements, pops of color, and unique patterns/textures so well. I am really looking forward to adding some fun to my basics heading into spring. Spring and summer calls for cowboy boots, imo. I don't know what it is about the seasons changing that just makes me want to pull out my boots and style them in fun ways. I pulled out my Tecovas on the last day of February, and they still made EPs because of the anticipation for spring they symbolize.
I loved fresh faced beauty this past month. With continued key favorites being the Merit Flush Balm, Rhode Glazing Mist, and Saie Beauty Glowy Super Gel. March has some fun spring beauty launches that I am excited to try! Funky natural nails were my thing this month, and I will definitely be carrying them into spring and summer. My favorite set was what I called my Funky French nails (picture #8 above). So chic and fun to me. Shop my at home nail favorites here!

the month in home
February marked the beginning of spring touches in our home. I started incorporating a little bit of fun color, brought out magazines and things that inspired me on the cusp of the changing season, and bought the first fresh flowers of the year. Making small changes that mirror the natural flow of the seasons feels really special and revitalizing.
Little pockets of my home bring me a lot of joy. I regularly find myself marveling at my office sideboard that inspires me to be creative and displays a lot of my favorite things. I love the iterations that my office coffee table sees based on the week's flower arrangement or magazine being read. The peace that fills my spirit from the view through my mirror as a sit and read my Bible in the morning grateful for life and the beauty God has given us. The sense of accomplishment I feel when I walk by the perfect thrift find. The still moment of sunshine pouring through an open window and highlighting a favorite art piece.
February brought a little touch of spring and a lot of pockets of joy in the home.
home wishlist heading into spring:
the month in living
1. A perfect cappucinno - nothing like a coffee shop work day where the capp just hits.
2. A cozy morning tea - I find that I am capturing even more little moments as I intentionally enter back into the Instagram space. This was captured for a little good morning story.
3. A fresh blowout - yes, please! Nothing like hair day!
4. Pictures in the wild - I am working on getting more comfortable in front of the camera, especially in public. But practice makes perfect and by perfect, I mean confidence :)
5. My tiny Bible - this was a regular activity for me this past month. I giggled at my husband when he got one of these little Bibles to keep in his pocket to look at instead of his phone, but he was on to something! I love having this with me to read while I'm in a parking lot, sitting at a coffee shop, or just when I need a little life-giving moment.
6. Valentines picnic - red wine, favorite pasta, candles, cozy spot on the living room floor, and my love.
7. My two dream guys - A dream come true. My husband and I are hopefully going to be leasing this angel, Riley. I am really excited for this chapter, and my new guy loved my main guy. My lessons start in March!
8. Saturday mornings - farmers market street tacos. Couldn't even wait to take a picture before the first bite. These are so good!
9. First flowers of the year - the feeling of spring in the air. The changing of the seasons is always a welcomed new beginning for me, and I love having fresh flowers in our home all spring long.
10. My favorite hobby - the euphoria I feel from a Saturday spent magazine shopping. Magazines are one of my main forms of inspirations. My love for magazines is partly why I like having my own little monthly "magazine" issue :)
11. The kids - lots of walks with the kids (Huckleberry and Poppy June) in February.
12-15. Five year wedding anniversary - such a special dinner and time with my forever guy. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in the city, had some dinner drinks (red wine is such a little joy moment for me as I approach my 30s lol), amazing food (dream about this shrimp cocktail & bisque), laughed a lot, and had a chocolate covered strawberry espresso martini and coffee for a night capp. Thankful to live life with him.
16. Working gal - loved working outside on some beautiful weather days. On this particular day, I got stung by a bee for the very first time in my life lol.
17. Vogue October 2025 issue - my favorite vogue issue to date! I pulled this out and displayed it in my office for spring feels (although it was the October issue??). These shots are GORGEOUS.
18. End capp - started the month with a perfect capp and ended the month with a perfect capp while chatting with a new friend.
